Gnarcadia is an innovative platform that bridges the worlds of video gaming and skill-based wagering. Founded by three engineering students with a shared passion for gaming, Gnarcadia offers players a unique opportunity to place wagers on their own performance in high-quality video game competitions. Our mission is to create a space where gamers not only enjoy the thrill of victory but also have full control over their monetary success, without relying on luck or chance. By blending immersive game design with a wagering system built on skill, Gnarcadia redefines the competitive gaming experience, putting the power in the players' hands.
The Gnight
The Gnight blends futuristic elements with a retro video game aesthetic, standing as the symbolic guardian of our platform. Our goal was to create a robotic yet medieval looking sentinel, that gave the cool and hardened appearance needed in action and combat games, while still maintaining an overall identity of fun and approachability. The entirety of our mascot's design and modelling was completed in Blender. Pictured below is the 3D model of the Gnight with its animation rig visible, in Blender.
First Edition Skins: The Original Six
Pictured below are the first edition of skins available to players that join Gnarcadia. The codenames and colours where chosen to give each Gnight a unique and sleek identity and look that is also distinctly visible in game settings, while also incorporating the company's colour palette. The skins are purely aesthetic as there is no physical advantage to any one of them, however some are more rare and have lower limits on how many accounts can own them. Players will be asked to select one of these six skins when they create an account, which will be their colour theme and skin for their character in any Gnarcadia game.
The Gnarcoin
The Gnarcoin is the heart of our economy, the in-game currency that fuels the Gnarcadia experience. There are two types of Gnarcoins, each with its own purpose and value. Red Gnarcoins are the real-deal: used for entering wager-based matches, earning cash-value rewards, and climbing the competitive ladder. Blue Gnarcoins, on the other hand, are all about bragging rights. These hold no monetary value but can be earned through achievements, ranked play, and community events. Use them to flex your standing, unlock cosmetic content, and leave your mark without putting real money on the line. Together, the two currencies give players a flexible way to engage. whether you're here to compete, customize, or both.
The advertising and social media campaigns for Gnarcadia are designed to captivate the gaming community and draw them into the immersive world of skill-based competition. The artwork used in these campaigns highlights the excitement and relevance of the platform, with dynamic visuals of the Gnights, game maps, digital illustrations, etc. Our media and advertisement style is meant to connect with our audience through popular culture and gaming trends, enticing them to learn more about our product and eventually discover the unique blend of modern gaming and wagering that Gnarcadia offers.
As a founder and lead developer of Gnarcadia, I’ve been involved in every aspect of bringing this project to life. One of my primary roles, and a focus of this portfolio, is as lead artist, during which I’ve created all of the 2D and 3D art assets for the company. The logos, character skins, 3D models, and marketing materials were crafted using Adobe Illustrator for 2D designs and Blender for 3D work. Every visual element in this project reflects my passion for merging art and gaming, which I hope has resulted in a pleasing and engaging aesthetic for Gnarcadia.
Each game is built to deliver high replayability, competitive depth, and the chance to wager on your performance in your own way. Gnarcadia Locker Room
Gnarcadia Locker Room is a visualization tool created to showcase how sponsor branding is integrated into Gnarcadia’s games through non-intrusive, in-world placements. The virtual locker room allows sponsors to preview their logos as they would appear across jerseys, stadium elements, banners, and loading screens, emphasizing natural placement and visual consistency rather than traditional disruptive advertising. The project was designed to communicate sponsorship value clearly while preserving the aesthetic integrity of the games themselves.
Green Fees
Green Fees brings a new energy to virtual golf, one where strategy, skill, and side bets collide. In this casino-style golf game, you can challenge friends or enter matchmaking to compete for wagers across full rounds, individual holes, or even specific shots. Want to bet on who lands closest to the pin on the 7th? Go for it. Want to double down on a final putt? You can. With high-stakes side bets and a sleek arcade-inspired aesthetic, Green Fees combines the precision of golf with the thrill of a sportsbook.
Gnightfall
Gnightfall is where the lore runs deep and the hits land harder. A one-on-one fighter inspired by the high-impact mechanics of classic arcade brawlers, Gnightfall adds a collectible twist: every fighter is a unique Gnight, earned through in-game achievements or discovered in collectible packs. Each Gnight comes with its own combat style, animations, and backstory, creating a dynamic roster that grows with the platform. Think Mortal Kombat meets Pokémon, with the strategy of deck-building and the adrenaline of a duel. Whether you're building your collection, mastering matchups, or staking real wagers on your next fight, Gnightfall rewards both smart play and bold moves.
